My Name is Pia Robin. Born in London & raised in the South of France. I was lucky enough to be brought up in what seemed like two worlds. One with my mother who is Irish and my Parisian father. We spent our summers in Normandy and sailed our boat in the States too. I learned how to sail and fell in love with the big blue after a few trips... It inspired and challenged me at the same time. It is unpredictable and surprising all at once. I finished school in France and decided to take Journalism at Oxford Brookes University. Oxford was an amazing experience, unique and elegant yet mysterious in its own ways. I started writing as a way to release my thoughts and experiences and help me shape a deeper understanding of life at a time where we most feel lost as young adults. It became a sort of therapy for me and I would take that hobby a little more each year. For someone who had to be forced to read books as a child, I was always curious and fascinated by other things. I became as the years went by a 'book worm' and the more I read the more I was inspired to write. I went to Costa Rica for a month and joined a group of women for a writing retreat and that's when it all changed for me. These women, all much wiser and older than me encouraged me to write more and to show my work, so here I am, in all truthfulness and vulnerability.
